I realize that I may be jinxing it by even mentioning it, but we’re supposed to pick up a load here in a bit in Chicago that’ll deliver in Lugoff, SC tomorrow (getting us home). We’re both looking forward to going home. This time out has been a minor nightmare.
I actually pulled off a soldering job tonight. I’ve never had much luck with soldering for some reason, so it was nice to be able to log a success. I had tripped over the cord to our XM radio and pulled two wires from the circuit board. Tonight I fixed it. :-p

We re-powered the Canada load in davenport, Iowa, and are now on a load heading to Los Angeles. That means we will at least draw paycheck next week. Between that and our bonus, we’ll do pretty good.

I bought a toy today. A plastic model of an f-15 fighter jet. I’m not sure why, but it made me feel better, like some old wrong had been corrected. I can’t help but wonder about the f-15 model that was lost in the great move. The things we carry with us, huh?
