I heard Dennis Miller tonight, guest-hosting the Sean Hannity show on the ABC News channel on XM Radio. Geez. I knew he was drifting to the right, but I never dreamed that he had signed up. The tide continues to rise.
Well, the boy scouts of the CHP at scale in Cottonwood, CA have fucked us good. They got us for being 1 foot over the bridge law. Adjusting for that made our trailer tandems over weight. There’s nothing else we can do about it. 1 fucking foot! About all we can do now is confer… Continue reading The Boy Scouts In Cottonwood, CA
Received a complaint on the satcom today from USX, reminding us that on HVP (high value loads) we’re supposed to notify them every time we stop. I didn’t bother to point out that we might take HVP more seriously if not for the act that USX designates nearly all of their loads as HVP. We’ve… Continue reading USX And HVP Loads
Saw a young woman in a truckstop parking lot tonight. Local entertainment. She was pretty; wearing blue jeans and a white tank top. Working it when she walked, making eye contact. I’ve been thinking about that girl, and her life. Sometimes I wish I could take pictures of the people I see out here; just… Continue reading Thinking About A Lot Lizard

We’ll likely lose our pp to Arizona, so this bullshit will most… Continue reading USX And The 80 Mile Team Load
USX tried to assign us an 80 mile load today. A team. It just hammered home our conviction that USX’ business model has changed and it doesn’t include teams. We don’t know how long we’ll stay out this time, but it’s a pretty safe bet that it’s our last USX tour.
CCB turned us down on the loan. Big surprise there. I have to admit to being a little bitter. Not that I ever expected to actually get the loan. I’m just tired of being seen as a non-entity by the establishment.
Mama sent me the number of a fella who might have helped us in regard to the loan that we were after, but they turned us down, too. I actually prefer going without it. I’m tired of begging for scraps from the proverbial table. No thanks. We’ll do just fine.
We talked to sandy at CCB about refinancing the loan on the house. I don’t hold out much hope. I don’t think we’re yuppie enough, and I know our credit isn’t as great as they might like. I despise being forever branded as less-than-desirable.
