Sugartit, Kentucky. Well, we were doing pretty good for this week and we expected to get home early for a change. But Mara started feeling bad and stopped after 417 miles. I hadn’t had any sleep, so didn’t exactly leap into the fray. So now we’re about 5 hours behind the schedule I was hoping… Continue reading It Would Have Been Nice…
CNN upset me this morning. I tuned in to catch up; especially from the campaign trail. All I found was a cutesy, smartass report on doing CPR on a hamster (which struck me as a dig at John Kerry). What the hell is going on with CNN? This follows my major disappointment with the media… Continue reading What Is Going On With CNN?
Opinion formed while listening to Air America’s Unfiltered: Liz Winstead won’t be happy until the Democrats’ nominee is a black lesbian. I can only imagine how upset she would be if John Edwards (a white, Southern man) was the nominee instead John Kerry.
Mark Marin, on Air America Radio’s Unfiltered, just said something that I agreed with and want to remember; “when bullies get cornered they turn into babies”. That pretty much sums up the GOP and just about every Conservative that I’ve ever met. They’re all bad-asses until someone is in their faces, and then they’re whining… Continue reading When Bullies Get Cornered…
We got into North Cove at 04:00 this morning. If nothing goes wrong, we might just get home around 22:00 Sunday night. I know it’s foolish of my to think about getting home early for once, but I can’t help myself. Hope springs eternal.
I had a dream yesterday that I feel like I should mention. I dreamed about Justice (the friend; not the concept). It was linked to Star Wars: Galaxies. I was literally in the game. I mean, it wasn’t the game. Everything was absolutely real, like I was in the actual locations. I ran into Justice… Continue reading Justice And Mesu Miaselle
We switched in Corbin, KY this morning, beside Sonny’s Bar-B-Q. Someone bought the lot next to Sonny’s! That’s where we always park when we stop there to get some barbecue. No more bbq for us! Calamity!
I didn’t mention it last Thursday because I had other things on my mind, but one of the guys at our customer in Chicago Heights, Illinois said something about Ford Heights (where I was set-up by a cop). For one thing, the guy said that Ford Heights was one of the poorest communities around there,… Continue reading Revelations About Ford Heights, Illinois
Just heard a cool song on XM Radio; “Crowd Goes Wild” by Clutch. I really like this.
I heard ancient Pink Floyd from BBC live doing “Echoes” and “One Of These Days”. It was recorded by the BBC in 1971 around the time of Meddle. It’s also stunning to listen to those old Pink Floyd performances and realize how central Roger Waters’ bass and vocals were to the overall sound of things.… Continue reading Ancient Pink Floyd
