I just saw a car with some stupid bumper stickers. One read “abortion is mean” and the other said “sin sucks.” It was a young girl driving the car. I couldn’t but wince at how easily the most sincere spiritual and moral beliefs can be reduced to a marketing slogan.

How about we ban all forms of murder? I’ve never understood why an unborn child has more of a right to exist than an adult human being. You can’t pick and choose who gets to live and who has to die. If an unborn child is sacred, so is an adult human being. The unfortunate truth is that most of the people who are obsessed with the unborn couldn’t really give a damn about the living adults around them. Remember… a state sponsored execution of an adult man is just a late term abortion. A life is being aborted whenever anyone is killed. The point of this post was to point out how uncomfortable it makes me that any moral issue can be reduced to a slogan on a bumper sticker.
You’re right. It’s not right to kill an unborn child. It’s also not right to kill a grown man. I also content that it’s wrong to try to force people to have children and then leaving those children to fend for themselves once they’re not a slogan on a bumper sticker.
