We’re at our customer in Bedford Park, IL. Mara vomited coming into the lot. We’ve picked up our home-bound load, but are sitting outside the gate. She’s in the security bathroom. Whatever hit me yesterday seems to be hitting her today. I wish I could do something to make it go away and make her feel better. There’s nothing like being sick on the road and knowing that no matter what that load has to be delivered, and that for the most part the company cares more about the load than they do you. My ongoing joke is that if you feel like you’re going to die the company would prefer it if you parked the truck where it could be easily recovered. I have to say that that’s stretching it a bit; but not by much.
