I’m resisting the urge to play with Poser today. I won an eBay auction for Poser 6 for $25 Saturday, and finally got the download code yesterday. For those who don’t know, Poser is a computer program that lets you create 3D models of people. A lot of guys generate 3D images and leave it at that. But I have loftier goals. For example, I’ve always wanted to create a 3D Claire Mulkieran, with which I could make “photos” to psot on MySpace. I think it’s going to be cool to be able to create 3D versions of other characters, such as M.E. Caldwell, Neima or Arundel Baldric.
I expect there to be a steep learning curve. But at least I have the program now. At least it’s possible. I’ve wanted this for a long, long time.
But what I need to do today is get some stuff up on eBay to sell. I was sort of consumed by the project of getting the Music section of my web site done. Now that it’s finished I’m a little adrift. I think I need to take a break from it and make some money. If I can throw a little money into the pot I won’t feel as guilty about working on the web site.
Oh. Before I forget. I should mention that my main World of Warcraft character, a warlock named Saphiri, reached level 60 last night. And Victoria’s main character, Smyyth, is closing in on 58. We’re about ready to go to Outland. It might seem odd that I would mention this now, when I’ve said relatively little about World of Warcraft, but I’m honestly thinking about adding a WoW category to my blog. Not that I’d blog breathlessly about the game. But sometimes cool stuff happens. Maybe if WoW had its own category, I might occasionally mention them.
