My flight got in early. I have to relate a funny. As we were nearing Charlotte, the co-pilot announced that we would be arriving about half an hour early, and said “we apologize for that”, to general chuckling from the passengers.
So, I’m sitting here wondering where I’m supposed to meet Mama. I told her I’d be in baggage claim at carousel A1, but I don’t know how much of that will translate. I think I’ll wait a few and then go wait outside. At least then they’ll see me if they do a fly-by. But I have to admit that I’m a Florida boy now. It’s about 60 degrees in Charlotte, and it feels a bit like the start of winter to me.
There was nothing major to report on the short flight from Atlanta. The only interesting critter was a lesbian wearing a fedora and a vest, toting a guitar in a case that looked like it had been splattered with paint. Upon close inspection, the paint turned out to be a screen-printed design, so… poser).
Well, I’m heading outside. If nothing else, it’ll give me a moment to soak up North Carolina before we go back to Kings Mountain and I get thrown into the Short end of the pool.
